Aeroplane Collision in Indonesia

Source: Andrew W. Sieber’s Flickr page – PK-LBS, the aircraft involved in the accident (737-800) two years before the collision. Licence here no changes made.

A Batik Air Boeing 737-800 taking off (PK-LBS), doing route 7703 collided with a (thankfully empty) TransNusa Air Services (PK-TNJ) (TAS) ATR 42-600. Both aircraft caught on fire and were damaged pretty terribly. PK-LBS was taking off on a domestic journey to Ujang Padang, carrying 49 passengers and seven crew. Thankfully everyone evacuated safely.
